Shandur – The Highest Polo Ground on Earth, is about 3738 meter an above sea level and lies halfway between Chitral and Gilgit.

Each summer a hug event called the Shandur polo festival is assemble here, which is a big source of attraction for the tourists. Different come against each other in this freestyle competition. 



The pass is generally unpopulated and passing into and out of its snow covered slopes in winters is an abnormally difficult adventure.


The pass is generally unpopulated and passing into and out of its snow covered slopes in winters is an abnormally difficult adventure. The polo ground is about 168 Km from the main town Chitral and accessible by jeep. The road is closed during winter due to heavy snow.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has opened a new tourist spot in Galiyat in a put up bid to further tourism in the country. Samundar Katha Lake , near Barra Gali, is now unbarred for public. This lake has been developed artificially amidst peaks, where tourists can enjoy speed boats, zip-lining, and horse riding.
